Re: [SW] - Few questions

Just be prepared to get frustrated with that setup (specifically having SS on NB after BHA) because if your heal debuff gets cleansed (it will) then to reapply you would have to hit BHA and SS again -- not ideal in long fights, and SW already have it rough on AP between basic skills and shammy AP drain.

That build is also for rr70. Are you rr70? I think this would be better if you want to go Assault SW (this is, imo, a suboptimal build because you heavily rely on a tank in scs, and I don't think you will dish out as much dps as a WL, WH, or Slayer, but if you want something different this might serve you a bit better).

RoR.builders - Shadow Warrior

Removed any Scout points and gave you Sinister Assault. Brutal Assault and VoN will be your heaviest hitter in this build, and barrage will give you decent aoe damage and burst when someone is low. There are also so many good tactics here it's hard to have them all. I have not tested Assault SW so I don't know what works best... I imagine you will need Distracting Rebounds and maybe swapping that for Instinctive Aim will do you good.

I'm 46rr atm, think i have some in wounds, deft, cw1, forget the rest.

I really love glass arrow, could spam that all day. Feel like it helps me get the initiative a lot of time.

I've tried barrage before but couldn't make it feel efficient. 40yrds feels pretty close and I pay the price for getting careless with it lol.

That build is primarily an Assault build though, meaning you would be centered around being an mdps mostly (and would only shine if you had a tank guarding you). If you don't want to be an mdps, I would not go Assault (again, play what you want.. just my thoughts).

For renown points I'm heavily invested in defense, so I have CW3, Deft Defender 5 I think and crit chance for the rest.

Appreciate the help, I'll give them all a try. Digging the Fell the Weak build honestly.

As for stats, I'm sitting at 912bs, 399ws, 14% crit, and 6k hp. Should I try and get more WS? Seems low.

I think so. With Instinctive Aim and full WS talis my WS is close to 700 or so (50% armor pen is what I remember; with Assault stance it's close to 58% i think). Squishies get shredded and even tanks feel some heat.

hmmmm I'd have to check but I think BHA is available in all stances? I'll see if I have time to do that tonight for you and take a SS of at least what actions I have on action bar 1 (Mystriss is only like lvl20)

Assault is my favorite for sure, usually like 14-17 points Assault and the rest in Skirmish for LA zerg busting. (I've got all the build training and mastery point setup's in the Assault Project and Skirmish Project sections.)

What I do is sort my abilities by stance availability, you can throw them on the fourth or fifth action bar or whatever to save a little time. Then as you switch stances you get them on action bar 1 and all. Then I keep "similar" abilities in the individual keybind spots. Like I'll have acid arrow in the same keybind spot on scout and assault, SFA on the same keybind for skirmish and assault, etc. Then I kind of sort them by if I can move while using them or not, if they have a long CD, and for the "exclusives" I'll put those in the same keybind for each stance.

I'm mega spoiled cause I have one of these:

I had a ... Logitech G11 I think it was that had the same G1-G18 back in live. I had 65 keybind actions in my head back then, cause you just do shift or cntrl Gkeys and bam! Still even I ran out, I used ~ for take down and throat shot I think. Heal pots were on the number + key which I can tag with my thumb (I use a trackball rather than mouse) and I have binds on my mouse too. I'm kind of a lazy player, no reason to stretch my hands out heh I do like G8=W G10=A G11=S G12=D (then CNTRL G10 and 12 were turn right left, instead of strafe) I also put the two available stances on action bar one so I never flubbed stance dancing, those were G16 and 17. SFA was G9 I believe, BA and FesA was G6, FlaA G5... I don't recall, it comes back when I'm actually playing though.

You can have BHA and SS on any stance. Your points on keeping one ability in the same slot on different stances is also a nice tip.

hmmm I thought SS was in the Skirmish mastery tree (maybe available in assault too. We're talking about Shadow Sting yea? If so is that new or has time eaten away some of my brain? heh
