the same problem as the oiginal poster. I can launch the launcher and connect but I can't get to the server and create a character.

I can start up the launcher and connect. The game starts and I get the same screen as in the screenshot of the OP. When I check the mythloginserviceconfig file after doing that it seems the login server has been changed.

Have you tried replacing your existing launcher files with the unpacked version?

Without a specific error message I can suggest anything direct. I would advice adding exceptions for the antivirus and firewall to allow War.exe and RoR.exe privileges. If that doesn't work, redownloading the game again, put the unpacked launcher in, run as administrator and log in. Making sure that the WAR folder has exception to the antivirus to ensure it's not automatically deleting key files when copy pasta'd.
