Sorry for anything that is lost. Unfortunately it's just something that will happen due to the nature of alpha game states.
As I keep recommending to people. Don't use AH.

One was, the other 9 or 10 were drops from Broketoof

Ah, OK. I would just advice caution. I've not lost anything, but then again I've not got any new items recently

New items gained, would have been lost recently. Shouldn't have been an AH issue.

Same here, CTD yesterday and when i logged back on the staff that was equipped on my sorc was gone. Also all loot I had in my bag was gone, wasn't much but a couple of greens I looted from level 6 mobs. All other toons seemed to be ok.

i created a thread earlier this day . this happened after a sudden crush. Zonder lost the glaive of the lady i had just gifted him and many other ppl reported losses. note: i have checked in 2 of my chars that items aquired (from drops and trades ) about the same time , did not lost. so this issue affected characters and not items generaly (not something like a rollback).

The items database reached its limit. It's all them people farming gear 
It's resolved and shouldn't happen again.
