Most sorc players will never even come close to 240 int. You have 4 int rings and an int cape

The fact that you managed to do more damage than people that you massively outgear isn't impressive in the slightest.

Why does this thread exist?

To point out a glaringly obvious flaw in the current balancing of the game, my friend!
It's merely a demonstration of what we need to adjust in the future to ensure classes and fights are balanced out...
And in the meantime, I'll revel in the pathetic achievement of, indeed, killing lower classed people simply due to the amount of stat bonus i get from my combined, twinked gear. It used to be worse in the real T1, you know? BWs critting for over 1k; max I've been able to do is 793 with a Firebolt, unmitigated...

Also, most sorcs come close to 200, even go over by an amount. Without any rings you can still get a +34 int staff, +6 int cloak, deci stat bonus, BQ helmet/GR, +11 belt, +6 shoulders and +10 gloves

Yeah, no.

You were trash-talking non-stop during those games. So much so that we believed that you were an alt of a certain infamous SW whose name need not be mentioned here.

This is a bragging thread. You are trying to spin this into looking like you are nobly fighting for more server equality? Really bruv?

I don't think this is a bragging thread, to be honest. Sorc/BW have an excellent mechanic which scales amazingly with their own offensive stats.

Oh, and by the way, the AoEs receive a lesser contribution from stats (and by extension, from the enemy's Toughness) than their direct attacks.

My sorc comes up to 177 int.

I have all the things you mentioned above except for the blue helm and the int cape(extremely difficult to get on destro) I'm nowhere near 200+ int. It's a huge difference in damage.

Shattered Shadows has an int coefficient of 0.1 and a cast time of 3 seconds.

63 int > 6.3 * 3.0 > 19 damage difference. Factored into a crit at max DM, it's ~50 damage.

Really? It reads like one. Combined for OP's penchant for trashtalking in games, I wouldn't dismiss it.

That's cool. You forgot to factor in the potential number of targets in any given engagement combined with availability of healers on order side.(You can literally sit at 100 combustion for entire games) Furthermore; I doubt he was only using aoe.(700+ dam fireballs anyone?)

My point still stands. Gear matters.

Fireball casts a lot easier than Fiery Blast, and when you throw them at level 3's and 4's they go poof instantly due to lack of armor.

And of course the gear **** matters, that's the entire point of this thread xD
I've said it at the start.

You kinda doooo~
I mean surely with heals and fiery blast spamming you can do massive nuke damage when you get your crits but the maxed intelligence allows you to crit for 500-700
Being maxed out on the best gear due to availability on one side but not the other is an obvious flaw that needs to be addressed, and I'm doing so with these results. Main point of 'bragging' about obviously class superiority over over levels grouped together in SCs, who can also be sniped with Fireballs, is to point out how an inexperienced BW can do so much damage simply based on having the right gear, and proper use of Combustion. Gear that can be easily gotten by one side, but not the other, thereby the mirrored side's class performs worse. This is an issue that HAS to be fixed if we are to ever balance this out completely. I'm showing this in real time during development to iron out what's considered the most OP and imbalancing at that exact moment, either due to damage coding or loot drops, and how other patches react to that as they get added on.

If it's bragging that requires people to notice something's wrong in the game, we may need to pay better attention as a whole, lol

Agreed with everything except this:
RyanMakara wrote:and proper use of Combustion
There's no real motive to actually offload Combustion because the drawback isn't severe enough.
