You know what, I think that for the sake of immersion we should force SWs, SHs and Engineers to have to fill their bags with ammo to actually shoot.
Black Orcs taunt should increase the damage more than 30%, I mean they're big, they're smelly and you bet that they're good at insulting.
Black Guards shouldn't be running around at 100 hate because the mechanic should have an in-built risk of a heart attack for the character, keeling over and instantly dying. I mean being that angry that often can't be good for one's heart, right?
These are some great ideas I think, this thread is going places.
Yeah...I pretty much made that point with my second sentence but I didn't realize how I sorely needed your impeccable and brilliant sarcasm. Thanks my new friend! Also just FYI, positional requirements have always been part of the game. Encumbrance, cardiovascular health, and hygiene have not.

I always thought of Disrupt as the same as Spell Resistance, IE an innante power to resist the power of Magic.
Dodge is a little different, but still. You never heard or "felt" something coming and reacted before you could see it?
Not to try to attempt RL arguments here, but the point stands. Parry/Block is required to be facing due to the fact they fight in Melee. In a swirlling melee, melee classes required to be facing RDPS to get a non-nerfed avoidance check would push the balance of power even further towards RDPS.
@Footpatrol, something I noticed in my Dueling days, if you are standing right at your enemies face, you can sometimes attack "through" their body to hit their back, or through their back to hit the front(and be parried)[NOTE; never made a bug report, because I couldn't verify if it was latency/or the system). Also, make sure they aren't strafing away from you. The strafe puts their back about 90 degree's from where you think it should be.

You're welcome! I'd also like to give you a friendly reminder that realism doesn't always equal fun. Just because things make sense from the perspective of the real world doesn't mean that they're a good idea. I'm pretty sure that making RDPS stronger is a bad idea, even if it would only really impact tanks.
But hey that's just me. Everyone's sarcastic friend they didn't know they had.

My good friend, I appreciate the reminder! A dodge/disrupt nerf would also affect ranged classes negatively. Just because ranged is "God Mode" now doesn't mean things cannot be discussed especially if it could open up more strategic possibilities. Maybe increase Deft Defender awards but make them positional? Anyway, sometimes I suppose its just more convenient to just dismiss things out of hand.

It's not lag...it's probably strafing to keep the cone angle at a point where you are withing range of block/parry. I would suggest changing your left/right movement to strafe and playing with camera angles while on the run.

Yesterday someone messaged me after I killed them with my Witch Elf that there was a 100% parry bug. I asked him if he meant the bug was for him but got no reply and he went offline. This was a serious question from myself not a sarcastic dig at his ability to play, as I honestly hadn't heard of a bug for Witch Elves with parry. My character is quite twinked with talismans and I use pots (made by my WE I may add so they're not particularly high level potency) and my parry stats are something like 23% ish from spending RP's on the reflex ability... I checked my log and saw that initially the fight started and he was battering the crap out of me because he'd knocked me to the ground, I got up swigged a heal pot and pasted him. Only at the end of the fight did I parry him and administered a fatal blow and at no point did my disarm become usable during the fight when we were head to head (the disarm is only usable if I parry)... or rather head to side/back . So was it a bug? Am I inadvertently exploiting something? I don't want to be accused of exploiting a bug if there is such a thing as this 100% parry bug .

If combat log shows that he made dmg to you then it was jus rage quit. Nothing to worry about.

Sometimes because of lags you can not use any melee skill even when you in range. Another situation when it could happen is when Nerfed Button crash in the middle of the combat and you didn't notice this. Never saw 100% avoidance on PvP.

In most cases "hax" or "cheater!" are yelled at opposition because the losing side is angry over having lost a fight. Especially if you spec for lot of parry, expect to parry a lot.

Thanks guys, that's reassuring to know I wasn't doing anything bad. He woulda won if I'd not had a heal pot to be fair, he'd come at me from stealth mode. I've been having some amazing fights with some folks one on one lately with my WE. It's been great fun.
