It's viable in a good group and for small-scale encounters.

it is pain. i struggle past t1 as a tank, never mind mdps
choppas and slayers are far too badass for us pug peasants

The character I have most fun playing with is my witchelf. You die quick, you kill quicker. When I started it I was a full noob. You learn quick. Go for what you like, eventually is what you will play best.

I have had Tons of fun on my slayer and still am at rr50! And Ive been pugging my way there most of the time. Takes time to learn and you will for a lot in pugs. A lot. But That makes the times IT works out Even better.
not for the ones easiy frustrated hehe

Depending where you play from, latency can also be a huge issue with mdps.
Currently having fun leveling my slayer in pve though.

Well ranged dps healer and Tank are more noobly friendly than mdps.

I sad its more noobly friendly to play a healer Tank or ranged dps. I dont say play healer noobly

If you really want to roll an MDPS, try a marauder. He's not exactly easy to play at full potential but he's far more forgiving than the rest and you don't have to deal with a buggy WL pet.

I'd avoid melee if you're just starting out. You have to fully commit to a fight to do your job and without an understanding of the classes you're fighting and a pocket healer you're just going to get eaten alive by even the sloppiest ranged pugs that can dot you and run away while you hold your w key, awaiting your free ride back to the war camp. If you don't mind dying a ton though, go for it.
