Since armor cap is at 75% there is no point stacking more above it minus highest armor debuff oppsite fraction has. How much is Mara/WL armor dbuff? 1600 tops? so 4400 +1600 = 6k armor max.

This is hard to chose then , armor doesn't mitigated magical damage ?
Toughness mitigated all type of damage ?

Yes as i wrote, it's calculated against the enemies DPS stat, though the damage has to be modified by the DPS stat (no morales, procs etc).
I think it's virtually impossible to stack armor so high that you can reach the max. physical damage mitigation of 75% if you distract a possible armor debuff and the armor penetration from the enemies weaponskill (should be around 20%-40% for most enemies).

I run rr abilities for block and disrupt dodge. Magical damage is always a risk, better spam hold the line while charging, in rvr better with siphoned energy. You reach 75% Disrupt as a Chosen (100+ with discordance last skill), when you disrupt you run faster and silence the caster. In sc i stay more focused on guarding, so more melee oriented

Imo best defense against magical attacks (range) is disrupt and - to be crit value.

Do they stack? "Hold the line" and "Tzeentch's Reflection" are both ability buffs.
Edit: They stack obviously.

So maybe it isn't better to stack toughness instead of armor cause armor can be debuffed and dps can stack armor penetration but nothing against toughness ?

I know I meant when you already max dodge disrupt and crit reduction , what should I chose between armor and toughness

I would pick most reachable stat you can stack. Some classes are naturally armor or toughness oriented.Engi? Armor for sure. Shammy/magus? toughness... etc. when you get resonable values start raising weakest one. For engi i think its toughness.
Dont forget there are also toughness debuffs and armor debuffs as well.

Few days a go in guild chat i made some math, engi can easly get 4400 armor values. Considering they are light armor I call it a success.
