You all guys have forgotten about the simplest and most effective things that obliterates sorc/bw rotation.
If they're on the edge of their effective 80/100ft range, and they should be, not right in your face.. Simply, when you see that chillwind has popped, you can assume WoP will come afterwards, but before it comes, already start running away or finding a tree or a rock that will make them loose line of sight to you.
WoP won't kill you alone, it requires all other parts of rotation.

I think most people just commenting on the rotation in the timestamp in OP.
Chillwind->Word of Pain->Arctic Blast->Gloomburst->Impending Doom->Hand of Ruin (1 tic)
is the rotation I use (and assume most other people do?)

There isn't always a tree near by... and in SC you need to contest the objective as well. I play WL so there's no way for me to avoid the rotation most times

Not a huge fan of that rotation because it leaves you with no options when the target doesn't die in the rotation. WOP is still on CD for too long, so it doesn't really make sense to start a new rotation. Gloomburst will come of CD but you don't have an instant ready to follow up. You're more or less stuck channeling HOR.
If you switch HOR with ID you lose some burst damage in the initial rotation but you have more options. You can time your ID on the 2nd tick of HOR or do a gloomburst+ID combo after the 3rd tick of HOR.

Maybe talk to your healers and ask them what the SC flags do with their LOS.

Or just hop on the Sorc and kill her.... my tactic. And it works more often than not.^^
