What you said is tried numerous times and practically impossible. you mostly cant see their siege weapons because of the advantage that defendiing a kep gives. Also because atacker side is in a blob while defending spread on the walls there is a lot damage difference. In the 5-10 seconds you put your cannons when atacking a keep, they die by defending aoe cannons without almost being able to do anything. Please actually try it in RvR before commenting

Well a new patch just came about AoE cannons. There is no meaning in this topic that I created until we test the new patch please cease further discussion

At kv destro was bringing siedge equipment wave afer wave but still was unable even bend defence being simply farmed, for each cannon destroyed new was created while distance from destro keep to order in KV is big there was no chance to make it happend.

Maybe if each cannon summoned would take out great part of supplies defence could be broken but for now attacking keeps is pointless. After great open field fights RvR was finaly killed as every one give up and warbands disband.

Maybe additional mechanic could be good solution for siedge weapons. Each cannon build taking supplies form keep lets say as much as 2 carriers can bring, so in order to keep building cannons supplies will had to be run constantly in other way keep will dercrease even faster. that will create another reason for open field fights, guarding bos and sneaking in with supplies.

We are on 6-7h trying to take a keep and we are not succefull untill order goes to bed most of the times or when xrealmers or whatever start stacking on destro side.

The only time keeps are taken is before and after EU primetime, simpel as that.
Because it's not possible to take a keep with equal numbers as it is now.
We break down the gate and order have a funnel.
No one considered that people are packed like rats trying to break through the funnel but wait there is more, cannons are waiting to smash your whole wb for 2k+ damage ontop of everything else.
So the entrance into the narrow bottleneck is where the cannons will hit the hardest, we get hit at the beginning of the outer tunnel and on the other side a funnel is waiting, with cannons...

This situation is the same with or without equal numbers.

And yes we use cannons aswell but there is a big problem, they get destroyed and to get new ones we have to go back all the way to our keep to get new ones.
Meanwhile defenders can just sit back and deploy a new one, as if respawning inside the keep wasn't already bad enough.

Funneling have never been easier as of right now thanks to the aoe cannons.
At least there where a chance to break a funnel before but now it is simply impossible.


What you will have is a system where people xerg to take keeps during morning hours or extremly late hours, when there is minimal to zero resistance.

Yesterday all zones were blue, today they were all red and that happends before peak hours.

I would rather see a rvr workable during peak hours so there is at least a chance to take a keep with somewhat equal numbers.

The xerg is a playerbase problem.

I wonder how many cannons were used from each side
Siege weapons warfare might be a new thing

yeah I was a bit distraught when this happened as well, Im so glad for the new notes because it means attackers can wear down the defenders in a more reliable way, I think that was the issue from last night

I quite like that idea.

At the moment you can break a funnel by using artillery, but the when you push through you end up being squashed together and they can use artillery on you in return. That makes breaking a funnel easier, but it doesn't make getting through the bottle-neck that is any main gate any easier.

Is there a case to be had that "Hold the Line" has a chance to block artillery damage for you and those behind you? It gives SnB tanks more of a role as well, as more and more tanks are going DPS 2-hander these days.

We had only 2 orders wbs vs 4 destros wbs
suffer zerging is so pleasurable :D :D
