I doubt that melee Squig Herder - a sub-playstyle for a relatively balanced class at the moment - will be high up the priority list when there are many more pressing issues right now. However, I am confident the mastery will receive some love at some point.

A pounce-like skill would be my preference too. I really like that idea and given the low threat of a melee SQH, I don't feel it would be overpowered, yet very fun to play. Other than that some tweaks to damage and/or defense values would be welcome. The only reason Path of Stabbin' sees ANY play at all is purely because of Bad Gas.

We clearly need to gives more utility to squig pet while we are in SA . Why not bringing it to gaz squig ?
Torqemadra proposed a charge , I'd like to see a charge like the rat ogre one .
Redefined the value of squig armor buff stats : more toughness / armor / wounds would be welcome .
Masterful aim tactic would increase Bs and strength too .
I agree that actually is not a priority to fix stabbity tree , not much squig herder concerned but maybe because the tree is terrible then no one is interested to test it . Focus on à it a bit and you'll see more melee squig really fast

As long as SA has some ranged abilities I could live with it. My preference is not to have in it SA so you could mix it in with a skirmish build like now, and to not telegraph it to the enemy...."hey look, big squig...KILL IT!"

In the end whatever is decided we will do what we can to use its effectively.

Yes squig armor is big that's why it need armor / thoughness / wound decent buff .
Of course being a melee squig will not be resume to stay inside SA . Best melee squig would be the ones that can switch between SA and range debuff /dots .
Does melee squig is supposed to be a mdps aoe class or debuff class ? Both ?

I think we can take some idea of the skavens rat ogre .
He is huge and visible like the SA is .
Torquemadra proposed a charge and being able to use SA as a mount

At 1m12 there's the rat ogre charge . Id like a charge like this for SA . (Like torquemadra proposed. , it's a charge that plow enemy that dare stay on SA way)
At 1m47 you can see "running with the pack" ability makes something like this to allows squig herder to use SA as a mount .

For the pounce ability , if squig herder have it we'll have to find something for Sw . But cannot have 2 high Elves with a pounce ability . Instead of giving a pounce to SW (for the mirroring) I thought about crossing some mirroring ability .
WL and melee squig herder would have the pounce , and Melee Sw would use a grapple arrow that pull his target to him to mirror the marauder ability ( sorry don't know the name of the pulling marauder ability ) .

Just found how was exactly badgas originally at beta 4.1.1
Bad Gas!: This is a new ability that heals the squig herder and pet, as well as increasing cool downs of enemies within the radius.
This ability now deals PBAE damage and heals the Squig Herder if he is inside the radius and inside Squig Armor.
