Missing the point. The complaint is about the detrimental effect on the gameplay and balance provided by ill-thought-out later additions to the game, in particular Land of the Dead. I'm not too worried about that though, one of the major advantages of RoR's pattern of development is that we get to experience the game bit by bit and see how the gameplay and balance changes (sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse) as we progress. At the same time, ironically, it has total lag/server crash "ability" to prevent people capturing Fortresses, nor Choppa, Slayer, KotBS and Black Guard. I suppose most people do not mind if there will be no lag, no crashes, and 4 more classes. I do not mind it for sure.
In any case, let's wait and see.

But you have to admit, that LotD talismans and potions are totally different to all the other crafting stuff. A blue +15 is not much worse than a purple +17 for T1. Same goes for higher level talismans, the power scaling is quite flat.
Same goes for potions. Classes with a lot self buffs get advantages without potions. The stat increase of potions is on the same level or lower compared with buff skills.
It became unfair with the addition of LotD crafting items and the apprenticeship exploit but this is a totally different topic. All other crafting items are reasonable and shouldn't be removed.

I want 1.3.6. That was the best WAR version (for me).

Before the RR100 patch came out the game was much better becouse of gear setup varieties, later it al came down to one set including weapons and jewels. Pick between all the pve and pvp sets was way much cooler that just getting DF/WF.
I always dreamed of something like gear enchantment to bring up lower sets to a DF/WF level so you could choose again.
Would say talis is a must, in MMO you have to be able buff your character the way you want to play it. same goes for renown points.
Pots... hmm... yes and no... I dont miss them even if I had all of them with me, 4 buffs, 3 heals, absorb, spirit resist if i see SM) saves a solo player actualy. but they not so important today.
