100% of me and my 1 friend have not crashed even once. That means since we never used NB, NB is 100% shurely the problem. = Remove NB and play war again ;)

The RoR project has been under constand DDoS attacks since the migration. The way the server has been configured, it deflects the majority of the attacks so that the game doesn't fall over but it can effect log in attempts and some daily forum actions.

I know talking about who is doing it is verboten, but a lot of people speculated yesterday the server would be ddosed again.

You say the server is under constant DDOS, does that mean from one source or multiple sources... or is it even possible to tell the difference between?

I don't see the results directly, but of course, DDoS's are difficult to trace.

To my knowledge, you can't really tell the difference between them. Almost all DDoS attacks are carried out through renting time on a botnet (for those who don't know: a botnet is a group of computers infected with a virus that allows someone to remotely force that computer to do a task - in this case, open and immedaitely close a connection to a server). This time can be rented relatively cheaply, but the price is usually dependent on the volume of the attack.

In other words, we pay for some amount of bandwidth, let's say 1 gbps. One shmuck pays for a 50mbps DDoS attack, another shmuck pays for a 250mbps attack, etc. Neither individually is enough to take us down, but they reduce our ability to support large numbers of people. Every once in a while we either get enough people trying to DDoS us simultaneously or one person paying for a major attack that we get taken down completely. This is the only time you can really tell that the attacks are having an effect, so most of the time the small-time players stop wasting their money when they see their budget attacks aren't having a real effect.

tl;dr:
1. Multiple people can DDoS/are DDoSing us at any given time
2. It's not really possible to see who's DDoSing us/how many people are DDoSing us at any point in time
2.5 Even when people outright claim to be DDoSing us, you can't really trust them for the same reason ISIS claims they're the masterminds behind every terrorist attack.
3. We get shut down when the sum of the bandwidth used by the DDoS attacks exceeds our limits.

I'm not using NB at all and crashing too randomly. Invalid argument.
