Oioi!
My personal opinion is dual wield cause you are more flexible and more support for your groupies. You can aoe slow your enemies + you have chop fasta buff which is awsome with a sorc in group. ( like my bro tesq posted ;) )

When i do The chop fasta buff i use a /say Macro to let my groupies know When They need to spam aoe dmg.

I also have a "aoe tactic setup" with extra choppin (instead of flankin) Usually switch to it When i fight vs Big zerg.

Btw below you can see my build.

RoR.builders - Choppa

Hope this Will help u out, peace :)

Forgetting about the bonus of 2h or dual wielding, if you wanna play solo or as pug, the tree mastery of Da´Savage is the one that has most survivality. Furios Choppin´ has more game at dual wield because of the speed attack.

Now, apart from that this game its not designed to play solo, in the left tree (Da´Savage), just scale de dot dmg, the heavy blows are in the middle tree (Da´Hitta), that is designed to deal burst and an important Debuff of Healing abilities. The problem of this tree its that its required a heavy weapon and has less survivality that a dual wield choppa with furios choppin.

So its a choice between burst and dmg or a moderate dmg and heals (with a 25s of CD). Thats why many high level choppas wields 2h.

DW will always be a better choice the free parry and faster attack speed does wonders for choppas whom really benefit from those 2 attributes particularly

I am how ever currently playing with a 2H becasue the epic weapon da big choppas crit proc is pretty YUGE

Any choppa you see running around with a 2H is 80% likely because of the epic weapon
you answered yourself

parry and auto attack, while you go aoe you face BW in orvr and you don'y use auto attack, that build is an anti meta build.

@other: want a snare ? take BG for orvr.

Not necessarily, The SC 2 hander pretty good, as well as the Dwarf RvR inf. reward BUT I would tell people to always take the one hander ATM.

As for the OP:
I have been playing 2 handed for 2 weeks now to check it out and really get a feel for it. I just reSpecced out of it tonight and the difference in survivability is very noticeable.

The problem is; to make 2 handed really work, you need Wot rules? AND spec high in Da Hitta tree. The burst and utility of a 50% outgoing heal debuff, a 50% incoming heal debuff, and a 5s cooldown increaser is very nice in a pre made. Also the cooldown buff (reduction) of weakling killa to 15 seconds is pretty cool and did help some. But the reduction in survivability is still just too much. Not only do you lose 10% parry but you also will be at full rage the whole time reducing your armor and resists by 50%. The auto attack damage is cool right up until you think about procs which is again highly in favor of dual wield.

So to really feel like you live long enough to do all that killing you need a pocket tank and healer or 2. If you are playing with Friends most of the time I think it would be ok. But I play more like 30% grouped and 70% pugs so I really need that survivability.

I hold out hopes for 2 handed getting a few more buffs either to the style(strike thru/+10% armor bypass/etc) or the Da Hitta tree and or abilities.

I disagree, unlike slayer who needs to spam spellbreaker and especially devastate, tired all ready and no more helpin don’t need to be spammed as much

Wot Rules? is not as necessary nor mandatory to make the 2H playstyle work on choppas

Now here the thing, while the outgoing hd hits great and all I contented that its not that useful, if your party is really that desperate for an outgoing HD, there is a much better option in terms of soul killer on BG which has no CD
Now you talk about 2H no rage drop choppa in a premade, lets all face the reality x2 mara’s is the strongest, safest melee DD combo you can take, they are much more durable than choppa, have more utility and put out almost as damage.
In comparison to them a choppa + mara combo is squisher, 2H choppa + mara is even squisher and no rage drop 2H is even squisher than that, combine the fact that you don’t have furious choppin for some sustain and you’re an even bigger burden on your healers

DW has 2 very strong bonuses going for it, parry bonues and the inate faster AA speed
What I feel needs to happen is that both the 10% parry and strikethrough bonuses needs to be removed

This means that using DW will mean that you have the benefit of faster AA speed and can subesquntly better take advantage of procs while 2H will give access to better burst/spike in terms of white numbers and abilities like deathblow/weakling killa tied to 2H usage

As it is right now, 10% free avoidance is just too strong of a bonus and should be tied to things like a 5 piece set bonus and should not be free for just DWing

Nice pic. Note your AA has like .07% mitigated... So that's one hell of a squishy target.

I haven't played choppa since live, and never to high RRs. But I suggest you start with dual-wielding. Simply for the parry. Learn to dump your rage, and try to survive. DPS often forget, the same rules that apply to healers apply to them. Dead dps provide 0 DPS. Yes, guard, healers etc. But if you are learning the class, I would always lean toward the more survival oriented build.

Edit:

Go write up a Proposal for this. I remember the debate over changing the 2H bonus to help WPs awhile back. It could be a good debate anyways. Btw, I don't agree at all. But I'd like to debate out a change to innate bonus'. If it's possible....
