For now. I think a no-wipe policy is foolish if they want to attract fresh blood when the game is close to the finish line. No-one wants to join a server where 90% of the pop is maxed out to the teeth and all the server history has already been forged. Not to mention bug abuse and/or feature exploitation while things are under construction during the 1-2 year run up to release. Just seems silly to me. No game has ever kept its players assets accrued during the course of alpha/beta. What about the economy?
Please list the the Level 9-10 items that are game-breaking -- Especially when many will become obsolete at Level 12+.
I'll start that list.
1). Uh... ummm... ???

See i can be patronising too!
A wipe is
completely necessary if you ask me. Who can refute this with good reason as to why a few hundred of the active players should have everything (including maxed out twinks at every tier) while newcomers have to start from the bottom and enjoy being creamed over and over again when RoR is finished?
Granted this is an issue with all established MMO's, but most servers retain its original player base from launch with little fluctuation in its player pop. RoR on the other hand will likely be a single server to begin with, so newcomers and fresh blood will have no choice but to put up with hundreds of maxed out end-gamers and twinks.
The majority of population for ROR will arrive when RoR is in its final state. And this new majority will just be ruled over by the few hundred minority of players who have been farming, exploiting and twinking since the very beginning. It's simply not fun or intriguing for anyone interested in coming to RoR.
