Oh comon man, ofc its more based on ppl preference :

1)Order side cool-looking (GUNS+FIREBALLS+bowmaster) ofc all ppl wonna be sexy archer or mage.

2)Destro side tough and MANLY (SWORDS+muscles CHOSEN, big foot orcs, alex mercer) bring ur axe to fight. (destro side didnt have ANY GUN nor big sexy elf-bow-woman)




P.S. in almost 90% games that i played so far , almost all Archer-characters is elfs-girls. (damn you bioware) and even in MMOrpgs - npc the same " cliche".

A lot of it has to do with looks. Destro have better looking mdps than order, except maybe WH. Honestly, who wants to play a naked dwarf or an elf in a skirt when they can play as a badass with a mutated arm or a big giant orc?

I don't know why but at the end of the day this difference gives noticeable advantage to destro side. Just melee > range at this server (my subjective personal perspective)

Btw. if you wanna choose destro char guerrilla warfare its not what you should bother about to much. Zerg is everywhere (at least was when the server was up 8-) 8-) )

Man, just to imagine - what would happend if range class will become more powerful than melee?))) its gona be SHOOTER.

They nerfed "Festering arrow" because poor ppl were whining as beaten up terrorists.
But i still can remember CRITS in half naked,unskilled,under-gear ppl, damn to fire with m2 arrow on all HP of shaman or WE;thats was srsly funny, but vs normal players (normal gear+pots) its was averge shot.

Its basic base archer killing a mage, mage killing a melee, melee killing a archer.

But what if we add tank+healer into it?

He's American and likely played on different servers than you did on live, therefore the difference in perspective ;).

That being said from my own experience I would favour a class with high burst, just like the WH I am playing atm. The reason is simple, there are very few zones and areas in RvR where you can actually engage in prolonged 1vX fights before you get zerged down. That means you have to kill your targets fast. DPS Shaman or AM may be the best dueling classes but people will just run away from your DoTs if they want to and you will get zerged down imo. DPS healers and the like will only get kills in RvR, if there are dumb people like me who try to fight them 1v1 and commit from time to time, nothing stops anyone from just running from them. Unlike most of the other mdps classes WH can also perform very well in 1vX thanks to a stagger and 3 different other disables, having a 100% disrupt and 100% parry skills on top of that, that allow you to negate damage from one source while you burst down targets.

So my choices would be WH or SW on order and SH on destro. They can all put enough burst on targets in terms of DoTs and DD in roughly 5s windows to kill them and they all have some way to avoid too much damage in 1vX.

Danielle - I think WE is also a choice for destro.

In Carnage + Treachery you get PA + OYK + 50% armor ignore + 100% disrupt

For me it worked great with Swift Pursuit tactic to catch some rdps that managed to survive the opening burst or to gtfo with Agile Escape + "charge"

Some were running Witchbrew+double heal debuff though I wasnt fan of trying to break through heal healers detaunt or to duel s/b tanks cuz it offered a high chance to get zerged.
