Nowhere did I mention renown, experience, balancing equipment that would provide any kind of advantage, beyond a cosmetic reward which can be recognized at a glance for players who've contributed to making the oRVR dynamic and unpredictable.

Not much point in an expiring cosmetic item. If it was permanent, sure.

You're one of the players I'm talking about. You primarily solo gank when you have AAO, and you're good at it. Your RR reflects your playstyle, but it's invisible stats. If I had GM permissions I'd toss you a unique helmet appearance or fancy pistol to that'd dissipate and go to someone else if you start to suck/stop playing.

Should toss him the "Siege Master" title

I actually think its not a bad idea in a general.

Though reward it for something rvr oriented - holding ground against larger force and still rack some kills, steal anemy BO and hold it against enemy till its captured (if BOs would have some important role), killing enemy siege carriers etc. yea. why not.

But for ganking in the middle of nowhere where your actions have no impact on rvr at all - hell why?

If it would be just unique appearance it might be actually nice idea to award people that way. Another epeen thing :D

yeah lol, ganking people in the middle of nowhere doesn't really require much skill to start with especially if you're a WH, if you want to really impress people, try holding a BO or holding a keep with 100% AAO and actually winning. that would be something worth rewarding.

That's not really fair, I just had to banter a bit since those guys got high RR w/ siege before it got nerfed.

As far as impressive goes, in ORvR it's all about the people willing to put together groups/warbands and leading pugs on offense (defending is pretty much a joke right now). Finding good players willing to spend time doing something that is most likely not going to be much fun and probably not net you much RR is hard. Attacking just really sucks right now, my expedience with alliance warbands on order NA time has been us having to triage our warbands by having groups defending BO's or making sure our PUG warbands don't wipe at the keep to a single 6 man etc... Then people getting sad/mad when we fail or don't understand that some things are necessary/impossible when working with the numbers you have.

Ive thought of cool ways to rewaard players like that too, but there isnt really a decent way to do it.

One thing I always htought would be cool, is somehow (I cannot really think of a good way of triggering this) but the GODS Smile upon X player and Bestow upon him Y Power! a Time Buff + a Visual boosting that player above and beyond the norm. Making the the Champion of hte realm for a short amount of time.

as cool as It could be, and totally lore friendly, I have yet to think of a way it could be implemented that would not spark Bias outrage.

Ok I get the witch hunter solo gank hate, but that's really the point of that entire class.

If Danielle is the highest RR player due to two months of solo oil dumping, I redact my previous praise.

yeah i can only imagine how much rr order players get with 200% AAO dumping oil on 10+ people and killing them. on the other hand, it is actually hard for destruction players to get a sufficient amount of rr to start with. i mean there are usually a lot of us, and in multiple warbands. unless you're in a small group or soloing you're barely getting anything.
