Yeah I did see that thread actually, but find it a bit confusing. Are you saying that absorbs took armour/resists into account on AoR?

I understand that to mean that absorbs should only take toughness into account (which is how I thought it worked, but could be wrong). Then after absorbing the max dmg possible, if there's any left, armour/resists are applied.

I cant say on what drugs is footpatrol2 high on today.

Ah well that's what I'm asking, for confirmation of how it currently works (i.e. whether footpatrol2 is correct), as I can't get in-game to test it myself atm.

But thanks for the link.

The only thing that you will benefit from is, that some skills will fail to work, if you're lucky enough to have EW active. If a skill doesn't deal damage, it's effect will fail as well.
So a blocked punt, knockdown, etc. will fail if if does hit EW.

Noticed that stuff as I was catched off guard while farming. EW was active, due to mobs hitting me and skills of my enemy failed quite a lot.

But the benefits are by far too low to be a valid option in high-tier PvP.

That's true if you avoid an attack (block/parry/dodge/disrupt), but I'm pretty sure it shouldn't work that way with absorbs. Are you saying that's how it's currently implemented?
