I think a more appropriate title would be problems with changelog notes and should those be posted before changes are implemented?

Otherwise there's hardly any doubt that the amount of renown using oil and cannons gave was over the top. However, removing it completely might create issues too, because who will be willing to spend the 5g for siege that doesn't give him anything in return now, neither entertainment nor the pixels? I am glad it at least still gives influence, so we get some people to put down oils at keep defences .

And that hasn't been a problem at all has it? People not willing to spend the 5g on ram resulting in PuG wbs hitting keep doors with their heads OR the same person (usually wb leader) has to buy rams over and over. No, I never saw that happen. Ofc with organized guilds this isn't a problem as they just share the expenses (Still I bet it's the organized guilds who have to put down the ram most often, so everyone else is effectively leeching from them, wouldn't it be more fair if putting down the ram gave them some sort of reward?).

+ I'd love to see the number of people willing to put down a ram if it wasn't a direct way to advance their way to the renown and loot from keeps. I foresee a great number of Order keeps sieged, where if it's looking hopeless (and it often is) people just won't even bother to use the oil as they won't see it as a good shot at getting loot+renown from a succesful keep defense, in the same way people are unwilling to commit rams at a keep attack that's looking bad.

That's a shame- I was wondering why my renown was stuck at 10 after using oil. At least I still capped influence. No point in using it after you cap influence now- just zerg zerg zerg. There aren't any patch notes about it anywhere

Future rvr system will not have siege cost any money but instead resources that you get for holding BOs. At least that is what I gathered from Aza when he explained it to me. So don't worry about people not buying rams or oil, they will eventually cost nothing but resources.

Each time players survive siege and oil damage some renown and influence should be rewarded.
Just some Incentive to motivate and continue grinding for a zone lock .

why is there no change log documenting this? These type of changes should at least be announced through written change logs.

I was in a group with someone pouring oil today and get renown for kills, and I know it was siege only because it was a chosen on oil and me as a zealot healing him.

Maybe its only for solo players or specifically the person using the siege?
