check that you have theses two dlls in your windows/sytem32 folder d3dx9_37.dll and d3dx9_34.dll,if not then you need to download them and place them in system32 folder

it is already in the folder for WAR im going to see if upgrading to windows 7 will work. Thank you everyone fr your help

Did you check you have theses d3dx9_37.dll and d3dx9_34.dll in your windows/system32 dir

yes they are both there

Copy them both into your warhammer folder and look what happens

i agree get rid of vista.... and then keep win 7 until you are forced to move to 10+ or mcirosoft decide to relase something worth.
Make a clear installation if you can loose the time. then put the dll alredy wrote above in warhammer folder only and it should go with no prob.

thanks guys. i have to wait til my husband gets home before i can do it cause he wants to make sure i dont eff it up... pfft men lol

If you take a looksee in the logs folder debug.txt file this will tell you what dose / dose not meet minimum specs, so upgrading to win 7 may not be the answer (as all versions xp to vista to 8.1 should all work)
