Once you get used to casting through getting hit, it's hard to go back eh :^)? Positioning in DAOC > "most" other MMO's.
No idea what you are talking about mate
In DAoC, if you got hit, you had to restart your cast, unless you used your uninterruptable ability before your spell cast, which was on a 30 or 60 second time

Which is not not exclusive to classic daoc

In Daoc, you couldnt have all buffs on everyone and had to manage your concentration carefully choosing what to use and on who.

One of my favorite parts about daoc is perma-sprint + speed buff

I liked the part where they put realms and their players against each other in some kind of "war".
Did any game try that concept ever again?

In terms of being "competitive" DAOC has a higher skill cap than WAR by a long shot. You can't stand and heal just because you have a guard bot with you. Bombing takes much more coordination (sure, ra dumping too if available). I would love to see the captain badasses from ROR play in Uthgard actually :^). I like that you actually have to kite effectively and position yourself correctly in order to succeed, even when you have 7 other people with you. See ya all tomorrow <3 will most def. be playing Hibernia (looks like Alb/Mid will be overly populated as always).

Meh, doesn't seem to be worth playing until beta is done. The grind is long (which is fine), but having to do it twice is too much. Props to those that have all the time in the world to grind :^)
