Why is the RoR community so insanly obsessed with 6man single target assist groups? Is it because of little to no skill requirement pressing a assist macro or is it because the community needs something to blame when the loose to larger numbers?

there's like 5/6 active 6v6 groups, which is like 5% of the population.
there are more people interested in RPing on the server (which seems to get more attention :)) than 6v6. strawman strawman.

Flipside What's so skillful about Morale dumps?

Witch Hunters are exceptional at taking down individual targets. Their weakness is lack of AoE spec, and are squishy. Thus it makes it difficult to PuG it up in oRvR, but in structured war bands and everywhere else you will be fine. Always play the class you find most enjoyable.

on live our prime dps for competative 6v6 was WE. The same WE was top kbs for our orvr wb also. There is no need to be full aoe wb to be effective, some ST is quite handy to finish off more tough target that aoe cant insta kill.
WE can shine at all playstyles if the player is capable enough, i believe WH is similar enough to achieve same results

WE dmg burst is pretty higher, cause WH best finisher is a DoT.

WH is a very capable class in T4 in 6v6, scenarios, orvr ganking, melee trains. It just has a slightly higher skill threshold than your run-of-the-mill slayer/bw.

Maybe coz 6v6 isnt actually a official format in the game? There are plenty of guilds runing premades tho. Probobly 5/6 guilds do.

@ Desidus
And I never said that Wb's had higher skillcap then 6mans. I think theres room for both in this game and I think all classes should be represented in both. And WH have a role in both.

if it doesn't require skill, gather your 6 man, que for CW and kick our ass. unless you can't, i can't take you serious since i have no idea who you even are. videos of us killing warbands as a 6 man can be found on my twitch ;)

zerg is quantity over quality, 6 man is the opposite. it is the part of WAR which requires individual skill on any party member and calls from all archetypes. as a blob you can compensate shitty gameplay such as mouse clicking abilities, back paddeling and reaction times > 2.0s by having 23 noobs and one guy with half a brain (8/8/8) for the calls. that guy does not have to be good either, all he needs to do is calling and counting down properly.

farming poor pugs behind a keep/bo wall where you really can't be pressured has nothing to do with skill. how good those largescale guilds really are and how much skill is involved in their gameplay, can be examined when they try to que for sc's or fight a premade in oRvR outside of keep / bo range. the same people who can successfully farm pugs by aoeing them, frequently getting their ass raped.
