Tank walls defenitly had its uses on live. One thing was that the population was alot bigger and if the defensive force was big enough it was difficult to kill enough tanks with a moralebomb to let you pass through. Another thing was that if a wb pushes in with morale 4s, crit imunity and cc imunity and morale drain, they could do their moraledump on the healers and dps inside if nothing stood in their way.

its not that i disagree, but in the theory this sounds much easier than it really is. things are much harder to achieve in the field. and a good tank wall is pretty effective.

I'm confused. Is OP talking about Shield Wall (morale 2 all tanks have) or Tank Wall (have a couple tanks block a door/corridor/etc)?

But that is the thing my dear Saupreusse: it is actually really easy to break a static tankwall in RoR.

I am not talking about the rank 2 morale "shield wall" move.

I am talking about when a warband leader calls for a, "shield wall at the doorway". Hold The Line is part of it, but there are lots of strategies to do this (clogging the doorway, ect).

I can see some situations where the "shield wall at at the doorway" is a good move. Obviously, it isn't the right move for every situation.

I've seen the strategy criticized a lot on the forums and I'm just looking for more details on that.
