I would trust any GM's judgement regarding the violation reason for the ban. Besides - an appeal process exists to further moderate that.
This transparency is merely to bring into light the # of infractions that are occurring, their frequency, and who is authoring their punishment. Seeing a log of what was banned, by whom, and with what frequency... would be very helpful.

Helpful with what? The level of pricks the average GM has to deal with on a given day, so therefor your probability of getting away with something? Why do people not involved need to rubberneck on the goodies?
note: I couldn't care less. If the GMs think this will help them, 100% in favor of it. Just found that statement weird.

The riff raff quota has definitely gone up. There isn't a day where I don't get a PM calling me "c.nt" or some other profanity because someone died in rvr and got all butt hurt. Playing in T2 you can definitely see there is bad attitudes coming up through the ranks. Trash talk is rampant which is a shame as we are all playing a game we love.

Trash talk is an integral part of any mmo, its limits however are what some people don't seem to understand, there is a difference in some general back and forth banter with trash talk where both sides can engage and are mature enough to know it means no harm, and then there's the other end with the guy that sends you pm whispers calling you a Russian communist because he died and doesn't like you. Some people just have very very poor social skills. - Those butt hurt whispers are all too common these days tho I agree.

This may go over terribly, but hey, let's try.
Is it possible that GMs can be more diplomatic? Honest question. I'm not even using this as a proxy to challenge my own temp exile however many days ago. There have been instances, which I'll screenshot in the future if this is really that serious, where [GM]s are d!cks. Plain and simple. Do they have a code of conduct? Even if one is in the right, the [GM] tag is viewed by many people (chat usually picks up as a result), and many impressions are made.
I've already received the impression, "Our server, our way, don't like, GTFO." which is fine by me, I'm just here to play Warhammer. Feel free to disregard and carry on.

It's a quote from the npcs in Altdorf. Some people (like Mursie) from a few of the guilds on the Gorfang/Badlands servers used to quote it on the forums and in-game in ironic or humourous situations.

You try GMing a free game like this, watch how quick your patience for stupid **** deteriorates. As long as they aren't actively breaking a rule, or punishing for non-rule violations who cares? Aza can be super salty at times, and I've seen him straight slam a few people on the forums/game. But he doesn't penalize them, or stop them from playing or posting on the forums. But nothing remotely similar to the hate you see in a losing SC.
Some people are dicks. Some times you just have a bad day. Whomever came up with "The customer is always right" never worked in Customer Service. The customer is a douche quite often, and is always entirely surprised when treated the same as they treat others.
my thought.

APB does the whole wall of shame ban thing with
http://www.ffbans.org thing. But that community is toxic as hell and it does not prevent people from hacking the game. Although Fair Fight is garbage and sometimes ends up banning innocent players...so theres that too.
I encourage you to read some of the
friendly comments people posted on ffbans today for all the newly banned players. We don't need any of that on this server^^

The aim would not be to shame anyone, it would be to give GMs a defence against the glaring weakness of not being able to be transparent about bans and the reasons / evidence supporting them. This leaves them vulnerable to false accusations and allegations of corruption as well as misrepresentation of ban reasons.
