Just to sate my own curiosity on the matter, what it by chance this shield? Closest I could find to how it was described.

Yep this is the one. Not wooden at all, is it? :D My memory let me down after all...
I think the name was "Greatshield of the Bloody Moon".
Might be wrong again though.

Firstly, this is a Greenskin shield. Secondly, not even Black Orcs can use this shield at the moment, since it is an NPC guard weapon. Not sure if Ironbreakers were ever able to use this shield, and if they currently are, I'd love to know how.
It's not only a NPC shield. You can get a similiar looking one in Lost Vale (BO exclusive) hence you're right and it's not available yet :p

Item name so I can check or it didn't happen. :D
Actually I just checked it for myself, and you're right; Blocka o' da Doombull has the same appearance . ^^

The bloody night stuff used to drop from a rank 35 hero dark elf assassin that spawned as part of a tome unlock mini event in BFP.

He had a whole range of items rank 34-35, with a lot of bugged shields that had either no graphic, or destro graphics for order. I use to farm it a lot. It dropped really nice belts / weapons with crit, before the scenario weapons came out.

The npc currently spawns even though the event is broken, but he is much lower level (rank 26) and he currently does not drop any of his old loot. He actually had a ridiculous loot pool on live, something like 30+ items. A weapon for every class, a belt for every class, shields for all tanks, and always at least 1-2 blue dyes.

That's lore-breaking on so many levels for a dwarf to use an urk-made shield that even suggesting it deserves a grudge in the Dammaz Kron. What next, thaggoraki guns or grobi poke-sticks?

There's Thaggoraki weaponry in the game files, actually... only saw swords and shields so far, though ;)
An' those Grobi poke-sticks make for good toothpicks, if ye don't mind swallowin' down a few Squig bits...
