Any hows... Would still appreciate it being raised, since you've experienced what the cause is (not many people have, including myself). It is still an exploit, not that it is the fault of the player, it should be looked into.
My guess is Max wasn't aware of it as he is very busy, and with it not raised, blah blah blah.
Make a bug report with pretty pictures and dancing cats please
