Re: Feeding on Weakness

Exactly. That's why I suggested beefing those heals to a point where they could heal for substantially more than 200. But nevermind, I can agree that the boosting of FoW is not a much needed change. It was just a little desire, for some crazy reason I'm very fond of those puny self healing abilities when not in a healer class.

Anyway, Scrillian, I can't see how you can fear a boost for FoW because it would get bg near the territory of DoK's mad self healing skills and later you say that what difference an extra 200 heal would make. I assumed you wrote 200 heal after an hypthetic buff, because it wouldnt make sense otherwise. Although it still doesnt make any sense at all...

That referred to the SnB build, that usually lacks damage due 1hander and usually lower armor/toughness debuff from the Malice tree - so the healing difference would be insignificant.
2h full malice BG can hit much harder might see bigger numbers and my fear is that of "possible" 1k heals for BG and Dark Protector target every 5 seconds ;)

Ok, I see your point. However, I don't think FoW would hit hard enough to be that OP (not counting the times it is parried or the tank can't reach its target to hit, circumstances that are aggravated with the 5 sec cd). As I said before, With no pointsspent in the middle tree FoW its base damage can't really be too OP. Thats why I suggested FoW heal buffed for a tank that specs middle tree. Also, a dps BG wouldn't probably waste a GCD with a weak hitting ability when he can spam Murderous Wrath and enraged beating after applying Horrific Wound.

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong about this. I saw it so clearly..... I'm ready to concede that you have more exp here (and I'm being honest here, I'm still not a veteran of this game) Sorry if my replies have seemed to be too antagonistic or ironic. Again, as I stated before, I'm ready to ackowledge this change is not urgent nor vital at all. It's just something I would love to experience and see if it works out. Thanks all for your contribution.

it can be a small quick heal if you manage to crit with it but in the grand scheme of things it is so insignificant and it truely feels like an after thought tack on

we're going to have so much fun cordially discussing that in the future

I think beefing up the percentages value of heal on damage would be nice little change. SnB BG won't do as much damage so they wont get as much out of the heal, however because they are more survivable they still get more mileage out of a good heal.

For 2h, the heal would go alot further but in order to get bigger heals you are subject to taking more damage. I think starting at 150% going to 200% with hate. Keeping in mind you still need to manage the resource, and you get 0 heals until you get some substantial hatred.

This actually makes a 2h BG a little more useful as a "Dark Protector" as well. Something the 2h BG sorely lacks.

yeah it kinda does and if you put time and effort into the class you would realize why but i really think you dont play any destro class or atleast only a very select few or dont understand the implications like wanting frenzied mayhem on WH

let me break it down for you

DPS spec SnB BG can do EVERYTHING 2h bg does but better because it does not lose access to the longest KD in the game is much more survive able due to shield has more utility with HTL, can get near 100% disrupt chance between HTL, sielding anger and its own natual anti magic stats

2H bg gives up everything suriveablity, utility all of it for access to one and only one ability which is crimson death if you dont get this ability there is absolutily no reason to go 2h bg besides style points

Its like going 2H slayer but you never spec spellbreaker or Devestate

Now going 2h bg puts you into a niche role as a melee train assist tank your job is to keep up the crit chance so your melee train and you can deal with that increased crit chance while also having acess to a variety of other tools such as a super punt and other things

that is the purpose of crimson death, dont tell me some **** bout tool tip dmg i can go grab a 2h bo with Tree hit and SYG to deal more than CD can do

and the shift from 10s and 100% effective uptime to a garbage 5s gutted the effectiveness of that neither you nor your group can capitalize on just 5s ofdebuff

CD it needs to be changed back to 10s and futhermore it should be made undefendable so that you can consistently apply the crit debuff

2H bg needs this change in order to be a viable playstlye

the only thing a 2h bg can do better is use the crit aoe debuff (he can only when 2h)...
sadly there is no point go 2h even if it's badass unless you are playing in wb which make st stuff less mandatory :/

the heal components seems in line with other base tanks regen stuff, the fact that it is but it should also help your protector is a crap... at least in comparison to IB +25% parry ...
