the ppl that now xrealm (and they are not so many) if xreal become impossible will just log off.

Because for a 32rr40 full gear, aao is ****, if we have reward to def, i think xrealm will be less than we know at this moment.

Yes there is little to no real reward for defing keeps and the defenive tick feels paltry and once you hit 32/40 that renown tick intrest is lost

so what will you farm? renown? exp? both that most people who roam lakes with their maxed toons dont need?

Item drops? the ones that the system favor running in WBs for ?

Inf? when most influnce items are not as good atm as deva/duelist or bandit/brig

Well with that logic isn't playing the game when you''re rr40 pointless???
If you're fully geared and max rr why would you rather change realm for boring PVDoor rather then getting a wb up with your guildies and do some epic AAO defence.
If the only PVP you every play is when you got the massive advantage or equal numbers you never gonna get better tbh.

If defense gave medals as much as taking a keep did people would do it more. The drops on kills are nice but defense always needs to be incentified. It's human nature to take the path of least resistance so for people to take the harder path there needs to be a reward for doing so

It is the fights that are fun in this game. Getting all that gear and ranks is the most annoying part of it, personally I am delighted when I do not need to worry about getting some certain piece of gear to get most off from the character I am playing. But yeah, I suppose a carrot would be nice for a lot of people, and a nice bonus for others. Although then, will the people just swap out to defend the keeps, standing in the keep, creating funnel while the attackers suddenly get an AAO. (Lets face it, defending things is the easier of the two after all)

No defense or attack rewards(other than lock)
No T4

Once these are situated I think battles will become far more prevalent. Personally, I hate PvDoor. But zerg train battles can be equally boring at times. Giving a reason to defend other than kill rewards would obviously create far more keep defenses.

I really don't see large numbers of people Xrealming. Check on the main-page whenever you feel this, see what the actual numbers are. I think you'll find that the % per faction is relatively equal.

I knew that I would find this thread today. And the reason why is that last week Beavers and Kings did some ORvR, barely encountering any serious non-pug opposition, every evening non-stop from Monday up until the late Friday night, where destros finally decided to show up and even wiped us two-three times in the last ~30 of prime time.
That left poor old dessies full of themselves and they proceeded to demand order to show up throughout the whole weekend, even though there were barely any online from our side. Some even tried to join the guild as lvl 1 order alts and troll in lines of "haha ye chicken orderfags".
Yet this clearly showed that dessies somehow preferred not to RvR up until they've had the superior numbers :^)
