To counter a lot of the arguments basically revolving around:

"WELL THIS CLASS HAS THIS, WHY AREN'T YOU UPSET ABOUT THAT?" or,
"THERE IS A MIRROR FOR WL, SO ITS FINE!"

The point I'm trying to make here is that this ability shouldn't be acceptable on either classes. It completely dodges the entire concept of a melee DPS. We shouldn't be talking about what other classes have and what they don't have. Additionally, just because a mirror ability exists, that does not make this ability acceptable. I'm not sure why I didn't notice this on live, but because of the level situation ROR is in right now, Maras and WLs are using it to gain cheap kills.

You misunderstood. The problem is that the root can be used from a range of 65ft. As far as I'm concerned, 65ft isn't melee.

And people dont usually go around mutating their arms into deadly weapons or have a pet white lion and jumping superpowers.

if this entire thing is about what you believe mdps are, good **** luck, there is a lot of things that arent strictly melee in melee classes, welcome to Mmos created after Everquest.

If logic to you is that mdps should not have anything outside melee range, we are in for a treat.

One does mostly melee damage, one does mostly ranged damage.
