i downloaded this game twice (technically four times actually) so i dont think that it's file corruption. I am encountering the same problem as Nitrous even with a fresh install from both MEGA and the Torrent

If using torrent please close torrent application and try opening game again otherwise open the ports on your router
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Open Port 8048" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=8048
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Open Port 10622" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=10622

It has something to do with the operating system or some kind of option from there i have windows 7 ultimate and i got the same problem i got the game running on my laptop with windows 7 home premium and it runs flawlessly

Have you tried performing a deep scan with your antivirus software? The most common fix we've found so far, caused by malware preventing authentication.

it was one malware wich blocked warhammer from connecting.
Its name was YAC -Yet Another Cleaner.
So if you find an entry called YAC under system>apps and features make sure you kill it with fire!
you can use anti malware software for it.

Thx, will check tomorrow, but I don't think that I will find something. Just made a clean windows install, and didn't installed much more than WAR

Maybe a UAC issue? Turn UAC off
