no only letters and numers. I am logged in at the moment with my notebook that goes in over the same network

This seems to be happening on 8.1 and 10 rather than Windows 7

thats the funny thing both computers run on windows 7. my main desktop runs on win7 ultimate and my notebook on win7 home premium

We can try resetting Performance counter to see if that helps
1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
2. At the command prompt, type winmgmt /resyncperf, and then press ENTER.
3. At the command prompt, type wmiadap /f, and then press ENTER.
4. Type exit, and then press ENTER to close the command prompt.
5. Restart the Windows Management Instrumentation service.

no did not help at all unfortunatelly. the server scrteen stays black...

Doesn't hurt to try, Is all of your drivers and DirectX updated?
Is the OS the only difference between your two machines or is one 32 bit the other 64?

both are 64bit, only on my main computer is the one with the more features. Is it important wether the software is installed on c: ?
Because thats an other difference. on my notebook the files are on C: and on my main desktop the files are on D:

Shouldn't really matter, it wouldn't hurt to try that though. Where are you running your launcher from?
