The community

Over the years of playing I have came across some very awesome people.. of all types and nationalites. The thing that gets old is people trolling and general name calling in advice for literally no reason. We should all be adults here and help each other out instead of flaming people for asking questions in advice. I saw a ten minute back and forth today over some guy asking a question and another guy calling him every name in the book for it. I hope that you people realize that without other players there is no game. I love that we can talk to the other faction now but we can really stop abusing each other and just play the game. At least build it up before you tear it down. We got a second chance to make this thing awesome... don't drive ppl out for your two minutes of amusement.

That's the reason I played League of Legends for maybe an hour before packing it up. I started playing it a while after it was released so when I asked what I thought was a simple question I was shot down by half a dozen people mocking my problem. That was enough for me to know the types of people that play that game and know I didn't want any part of it.

I'm starting to feel like the nice and genuine people are the hidden gems of the server, not the norm.

Mate, you shouldn't worry about a vocal minority of children that has its fun for 15-30 minutes in advice chat. I'm sure once ignore is implemented for the advice channel, these people will not be a burden to most of us, nor have the power of actually getting a substantial amount of people to quit the game. And as it stands, the best way to deal with such drama is by going along and mellowing it out instead of letting it rage and fester.

I feel like the community is really great. Sure theres always those toxic people who live to bring misery to players and ruin the experience for everyone... But a majority of the players are really great and help each other out. Its a small community and we all need to stick together, the trolls and fu** wads will get whats coming to them.

Unfortunately I have the same feeling as the OP : a lot of people here are very childish/unrespectful. You get insulted whenever you kill someone (when they doesn't simply alt+f4 just before dying to dispappear instead of dying...), people insult in sc's etc etc. I loved warhammer and I was so excited when RoR came, but I start losing interest in it not because of the game, but because of the aweful community (ofc there are great people out there too, but it looks like the majority is more and more childish).

Compared to the game I just came from, this community is like a meadow with flowers and fairies. :D
Coming from Archeage, the most toxic community I ve ever encountered.
