Transfering ownership of a guild

Greetings.

When we were playing RoR in 2018 we used to have a small guild. Then we took a long break and I transferred leadership to my friend's alt who is level 4. I recently started to play again and trying to build my guild. But the thing is my friend won't even start this game his last login was 2 years ago. In fact, I don't have any ways to reach him. Is there a way to transfer leadership?

Hello,

The system automatically transfers ownership from the leader to the closest lower ranked character. Please elaborate more, who occupies the rank below guild leader? Are these your characters?

Are you sure that the current guild leader hasn't logged since 2 years?

Yes, I am sure the current guild leader hasn't logged almost 2 years. Guild's name is "The Grumbling Guard". Yes, the closest lower-ranked character is mine.
