Help - High Elf Quest - Trail of Darkness

Hey so I'm new here and I'm having trouble with the Chapter 3 part of the quest.

It wants me to scout the norther regions of Chrace.

The quest has three objectives 1) Chrace Border Scouted 2) Eastern Cliffs Scouted 3) Western Cliffs Scouted

The problem is when I go into the zones marked on the map there is nothing to interact with and there is nothing in my inventory or quest items I can use to complete the objectives. If anyone can help me figure out what is wrong I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

There should be those big binoculars.

Hi there I am in the same case as you. Did you end up finding the trick? Not sure what those “big binoculars” are

EDIT: had to right click on the Dark Elf Report object in the quest object bag section
