Crash to launcher

Hi folks. I just downloaded the RoR client to play with my son. I was able to get all the patching done, build the starter toon and launch game play. Now, after being on for about 5-10 seconds, the game crashes to desktop without any error codes etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't say if it is related but :
- Update your gaphic card drivers
- Download DirectX 9.0 on microsoft website
- Install .NET Framework 4.5 microsoft website

All that is fine. Here is the odd thing. Shortly after posting my original question I was able to log in a play for ours without issue. Whenever I log out though, I have the same issue. I continually get kicked about 5-10 seconds in until it just suddenly stops doing it and I can play.
