What Tier is RedEye?

I've been looking at the RedEye set as Gunbad will be reopening soonish and it looks pretty interesting. However, I noticed that the armor rating is 5% lower when compared to Merc/Annih. So I did some number crunching, its seems the stats totals are 10% higher, Bonus such as Disrupt/AP regen are about 20% lower and armor rating is 5% lower. So it RedEye Merc/Annih 1.1?

Please note: the stats comparison is only when item count is the same.

A PvE set that's comparable to merc/anni. That's how I'd define it.

Further review shows that RedEye set has high stats when compared to even conq/dom. Merc/Annih stat totals: 290, Conq/Dom:291, RedEye:321

I compared the stats of the helm, shoulders, chest, gloves and boots for all classes.

Gotcha.

From a pure stats perspective, you're correct. But conq/dom also give 2 more "bonuses" than redeye. Each item will normally give you 3 stats + a bonus or 4 stats (unless there are resists added). Since conq/dom has more bonuses (disrupt, dodge, strikethrough, w/e), it makes sense that it might have less stats than redeye.

That's just in a general sense, but you also have to take each set in relation to which class you're playing. There will always be a "best set" for your spec/class, obviously.

I would come back to: a PvE set comparable to Anni/Merc, and don't worry much about the "power difference" unless you're really interested in mapping out what % strikethrough is "worth" compared to armor, stats, and other bonuses.

Edit: Then also taking into account set bonuses. Conq gives +66 on 2pc, 3pc, and 4pc for SW, for example, whereas Redeye gives +3% crit reduction, +60, and +60.

This I understand, I'm looking at this from a top down to min/maxing. Comparing each stat gained including (include bonus, armor and all other bonus ap/mitigation), to what ring are available, bonus vs less, to come the most optimal setup.

Fair enough. That's a larger project that you'll enjoy undertaking if you like min/maxing.

Interested to see what you come up with, especially if you determine a base calculation that can be mapped across armor, bonuses, and stats.
