Ok, but I mean the actual skill specs... Like are people running them as DPS or Heals or Debuff focused? What does a typical 6v6 spec look like on the char builder?

Take CW or RD, both work well. I'd go for RD.

Jep dont like itz after range nerf . But otherside it still can be very good. Both specs are okay! For small scale i Pref The First one

And If you are higher lev with good items go 3 x futile strike rd + cw rest in dodge distrupt

The aoe lifetap has 80ft target range to leech and heals people in your group 45ft around you?

And the ammount of heal was lowered in a Hot fix

Umm iirc I'll take that and AM equivalent has 80ft range and heal 3 additional targets close to your def target with tactic, while FOTG and AM equivalent got their range reduced to 45 ft. It heals your entire party.
