lostt my characters

Hi ... it's a few months since I played, but now I logged in I can not find my characters ?? were deletati for inactivity? Can I get them back?

Every couple of months (as i am aware of it) they purge inactive players toons, to free up space on the server and let the names that were previously used be available again.
