[Shaman] Green Battery build

Hello!

First thing I'd like to clear out is that I'm a noob shaman, never really played the class (had 30something shammie on Badlands on live), nor do I claim to "know" the class. Creating new topic not to disrupt shammie class discussion in other one.

This build is not a new one, it's been taught to me by my old RP mate on live. Relies heavily on heal crit and utilising shaman 5/5 mechanic making it nearly impossible to run out of APs (if anything it'll give you enough to share them with any ally you see) and keep insta-cast ready plus steady pulse of group heals (it works on nearby allies now?).

Tested it in scenarios, orvr and keep sieges over this weekend. It works. Impossible to go below 70APs unless you get drained by AMs. Feel free to test it :)

Build:
Spoiler:
waronlinebuilder.org - Shaman build

Gear: tested on 4 pieces devastator with +18 WP talismans and +100 intel potion. Stats: 650WP, 259 Int, 260 initiative, 27% heal crit unbuffed. Will be testing it on 4 pieces anni (lower initiative makes it a bit harder to get a steady stream of APs but only marginally).

You get APs on every crit heal - and I mean every one of them. Since most of shammie attacks work as heals as well you can alternate between pure healing and attacks to stay at +5 Gork / Mork. It gives you insta cast on long-cast abilities and speed up on next ones. Also when you're on +5 Mork your heals cast faster and are more powerful.
For the build to work you need balanced WP / Int and high (heal) crit. Stack Initiative and DDefender for survival.

If you by any chance run out of APs (be it morale drain or AM drain) simply reapply full rotation heal / dps and get back to 250 APs in 2 seconds.

I play my shammie as I played pandaren monk class in WoW (or warband healing RP on order) - buff front line, hot, hot, debuff enemy front, steal APs, group heal, hot, hot, rotation, group heal, AP steal, hot, hot etc.

Heal spec works as AD shammie as well, less ooomph but more heals (as with Gork stomp build you get more oooomph and less heal). Can be easily modified into group AP / Morale generator build but it's too OP to stop without regimental (racial) group play.

Works best in green heavy / pure green groups (other races have their own racial synergy).

untested on new experimental shammie mechanic because, well, I'm still getting acquainted with the old skull meta :)

Edit: RPs and Zealots can do the same as well (only better with gAoE AP restore). Haven't really played other heal classes.

I'm gonna change this topic into ravings of a mad shaman ;)

Did you know that Harbringer of Doom and it's Runepriest counterpart were introduced late, late, laaaate into the game (1.4.2 if I'm not mistaken. Might be 1.4.6) as means to bring Z/RP on par with < < new, improved > > shammie mechanic of 1.4.meta? And do you know that this OP shaman mechanic is still in the game we play today?

Shaman doesn't need buff. Classes are fine. The builds are gimped.

Single target healing shaman (aka "stationary shaman") was a build designed to be used in dmg-heavy environment of TOVL dungeon as an off-hand healer to DoK. It required 3 pieces invader or 3 pieces Darkpromise and conq combo to work and had it's peak at 6 pieces Darkpromise. Thanks to the slow dungeon crawl playstyle and off-hand healing meta it didn't require high AP regeneration (which was provided by other classes in group build). Unfortunatelly single target healing does not work in orvr environment (it's stationary, AP hungry and slow).

Using this build below it's gear requirements gimps shaman playstyle.

Area-Denial shaman was a build designed to counter heavy bomb meta of 1.3.6. It's deadly against CQ-heavy, tight-packed builds of bombing zerg of that time. Can easily be countered by racial (regimental) gameplay since it's original design was to go hand in hand with pure green groups of Waaagh.

Bombing tactic in turn was designed to counter zerg and funnel heavy gameplay of 1.2.48 and it utilised unrestricted ground aoe gameplay of that game build. Coincidently zerg and counterzerg gameplay came with first server merges taking place of "natural" racial grouping :)
