I think the devs specifically designed the maps to make people stuck, so as to prompt them to contemplate their existence (a la Satre), and to ponder why they were fighting in this war.

It certainly does give you a chance to sit back and enjoy the beauty of Warhammer....
But totally agree. Just run around Praag for 15min and you'll find a dozen little cubbies you can trap or punt people into.... oh, and stairs leading over a fenced in wall? Yes premade, chase this solo toon... mwahaha
