Not to be rude, but what was the point of saying you came up with a way to fix it, if your not willing to take 2 seconds to share a file that would allow others to have a working enemy addon? :(

Why take the time to post about how you fixed marking, in a topic about being able to get marking to work?

There have been numerous threads with details about how to modify the LUA for other addons. I bet most could figure it out using the clues you've given. You took the time to work on it, suffered through discovering how much spam you got in /p chat during a fight, went back and tinkered with it, and finally got a working mod. Good for you, you deserve to keep it to yourself... and I assume your guildmates. Once you have it perfected, I assume you packaged it for distribution for guildmates too. that's a lot of work.

Another reason to have /assist... because of AoE. If you think AoE takes more skill than focus firing then you're just wrong. Both though do take thought and time to perfect your technique in certain situations, but that's not skill, it's preparation.

You are kinda unique in that department, other Chosens have perfect survivability. So to play in team, everyone should assist to target.

Assist already was in the WHO. Always. It was part of the game. It's broken now, and Azarael don't want to fix it on purpose, as i understand. And you want to cripple this game. Cut out part of it's gameplay. You don't like assisting, someone don't like AoE heals - so let's cut them out too. Hey, i don't like ORvR - cut it out of the game! Now!

First of all, "cripple the game" ? WTF dude? How in the hell can you even state that? How is having an assist macro that's NOT in the game now, NOT be re-added to the game going to "cripple the Game"?

I've not cried for anything to be cut out, ever. On the contrary, I pretty much accept this game at face value. BWs WTFPWN? OK, so be it. FOTM class WTFPWNS? ya, and? WL Pounce is redonkulous? meh, whatever, it happens. Stuff is broken? Ya, deal with it. Assist broken? OK, fine, unnecessary.

I feel I've always advocated for the path of least resistance when it has come to this game. Kind of a "go with the flow" attitude. I'm not starting Nerf This threads, nor am I stating that assist can not be part of this version of the game. I simply pointed out my opinion that it was unnecessary. Is it handy? sure. I agree it's nice to have the machine do the targeting for you. Is it necessary? Nope. Can it stay broken and the game be fine? Yep.

If the Devs put it back into the game will I use it? Yep. Will I vigorously defend it if they decide not to? Nope.

It's a game breh. a g a m e. Take a deep breath and relax. If I'm not allowed to propose an opposing viewpoint without you going insane, then what's the point of the forums?

Just to point something out about assist: it's not a matter of knowing how it works and refusing to implement it. I don't fully understand how the SET_TARGET packet works, which I believe is implicated in /assist's mechanics.

Either way. It's fine without it IMO. The TTK is already low enough when running without your dedicated team + healer (i.e. PuGs) and the /assist macro will only shorten that TTK for organized groups and heighten the frustration of the casual player.

Mythic replied "Ranged piss? Ok!"

Mythic proceeds to take that piss and implements a whole system around it.
Collective facepalming around the world shifts us back in time by 8s, Mythic claims this to be "Mythic Time" which is why a 1.5s GCD is actually 1.4s.

Repeat until game shuts down.
