From what I've seen Order are very good/active at defending Keeps, there's certainly no trading going on (at least during "prime time").

Does capping BOs effect anything in rvr? not yet and I don't know if the devs wanna implement the stars system for keeps but for now bo's are just rp/inf farming opportunities. when bo's will get a meaning the major rvr game play will improve itself

It's the same as always. People don't want to defend cause it ain't worth enough for them. The Reason why order is so hyped on defense now is that we know that we can counter push to get some kills :)

Generaly my idea would be to include something that rewards defending to the last drop of blood.

Lets break it down a bit.
For a T2 keep we have 1 Door and 1 Lord.
For a T3 / T4 keep we have 2 doors and 1 Lord.

I would suggest something along the lines of these 2 examples for T3/T4 keep:
1) Before 1st door is up give defenders a small bonus to renown gain on kills. When 1st door is down give a bit larger increase. When both doors are down give a bit larger number (because it's harder to defend when you let the train in).

2) When a door is up give a buff to renown gain from If all doors are down give the defenders passive renown tics until the door is up again.

Buffs would apply to the whole keep area while the tics would apply only to the players in combat. This to make sure that people are in combat.

. . . Now what makes this so hard is all the loopholes in how lechers could abuse this, but i feel that something along the lines of this would still make it worthwhile to try to defend even if you are going to get overrun.

Having players in the lakes capping BO's provide those from the opposing realm a reason to come and fight. Because they know there are not zerg numbers of the other realm.

Yes there are incentives to just take but these need to be baleced with defence ticks for rewards. But do you not believe that to bring people to the lakes the rewards need to be better than that of the pve?

I do concede that this issue would be helped if we could lock zones. As there is a great incentive to hold.

With all due respect, you are all overthinking this subject regarding BO trading and stuff. I am in the rvr lake quite a lot of time and I have never seen order or destro (be it guilds or pugs) shy away from a fight (even at the cost of capping a BO). This thread is slightly moving towards "doomthinking" :P
