RvR got a rework recently. T2-T4 are now merged. so you actually can now play more and different maps. Besides that, there are also new mechanics.

if you haven't played for all of 2017, there are lairbosses called Beastlords. They grant a new Itemset, including a pocketitem, it's a 6 pieces set.

If you have played 2016, there is a higher rated set in both SC's and RvR. Dominator and Conquerer replacing anihilator and mercenary as highest tier sets. There is also another two set which can be purchased by a side currency set. consisting of 2 pieces.

Gunbad was already opened and functioning for a few days including an opening event.
the full release is spring. it's getting a few tweaks here and there. including ofc an itemset: Redeye.

There is an upcoming new PQ set for the PQ chapters 22.
The PQs there are getting a rework. It shouldn't take too long until they hit the server. there is no ETA by the team, but they are now in the making for a while. Perhabs after they finished gunbad? as mentioned no ETA.

I think all PQs are now functioning for both sides, order and destro, they drop loot, they work.

every holiday had an live event with collectibles and quests n stuff.

there were a lot of class and balance changes and the server is consitently improving, with sometimes some buggy code getting pushed. usually there is a hotfix in a few hours. so the devs care.

atm there is double XP / RR / Influence.

I'm playing for 10 months now.
Project is on a steady way and making progress. can't complain too much, even though I don't agree with some changes. but it's there project.

about population since you especially asked for that:
RvR is usually somewhat between 150 v 150 and upwards.
perhabs a month ago or something the server had over 1000 players and counting.
400 v 400 is a real mess and results in a diashow.
the population is at a sweetspot, speaking for EU in general and EU prime.
this week somehow indeed. SC pops are rare. but I think it's because the pug sc is meh.

been having decent amount of sc pops in NA time this past week. Played a bit during EU time and it was indeed bad for the sc pops. Maybe everyone in orvr I guess?

Full 6 man or solo pug sc?

In EU I was solo, got very few pops. Both solo and group in NA were decent.

There are no population issue; t2-t3-t4 player all play togheter now thx to booster.

T1 it's learning ground

Balance is working definetly more actively

Gear cap is conqueror

First dungeon is live ( gunand)

SC pops aren't as frequent anymore unless you're soloing (particularly on Order), no competitive WB/GROUP scene anymore, but RvR/PvE is doing pretty well.

Was there ever a competitive warband scene? Was just premade warbands stomping pugs, or getting zerged until they log off the game and log on the forums to **** post.

Should just have Fusion fight FusionII ad infinitum. Maybe have LoB and Twelve Centimeters Unbuffed fight each other. Ultimate six man scene :p

Not sure about a competitive scene, but if there isn't there are plenty of people (especially here on forums) who would love one. Anyone can start the movement to get it going. Someone (or a group of people) has to take the initiative to make these things happen.

I believe the Dwarf Guild does premade RvRs on Wednesdays (tonight), so that would be a good time for a competitive Destro guild to take the field.
