Stuck on Locating Battles

My friend is stuck on this screen. He can't get to character selection. He has downloaded the torrent twice, replaced the Launcher with Elvens copy she has been posting everywhere, clicked off read only, ran as admin, ran in compatibility mode, etc.

Is there a fix for this? I am connecting fine. Thanks in advance.

Tried data.myp replacement and allowing war through antivirus software?

It's me that has the problem.

* I don't use any antivirus.
* My firewall is off.
* I've ran it in admin.
* I unchecked read only and clicked apply....
* The RoRLauncher.exe is in the Warhammer Online - Return of Reckoning directory.
* I've tried to run it in windows 7-8 compatibility. My OS is 10.
* I did this viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21209
* I has also done this viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19375
* I have also waited on the for Locating battles... more than a few hours.
* I've re-downloaded the game and installed it 3 times now and repeated everything said above each time.

On this screen, none of the buttons work. I cannot quit or even get to the settings.

Delete the torrent version and Dow load from the alternate direct download load mirrors. My Download took 15 minutes and worked.

Also check your direct x version. You may need to run in compatibility mode with that OS.

Looks like I may need to try the dx fix. Been at this a few days now.
