Can't create character

i just installed the game and started ir up, first this came up, and yes, im Swedish.

But the cames still starts up and i can reach the "CINEMATIC". the "CREDITS", the "SETTINGS" and "QUIT" and nothinf more, in the top right can see an empty box and thats it.
Help plz i really want to play the game, i used to play it before it shut down

If you're getting this line of code in your error log:

You need to rebuild performance counters.
