Other classes are very strong in 1on1 while retaining viability in groups. WE and WH should be no different. In other words, I don't consider "gank" valid for a primary role and would happily sacrifice that "role" to make the classes better in group play.

Let's hope we find a way to make them good for 1 on 1s AND group play, like MANY other classes are :)
Are you still working on the CD increaser on DRagon Gun, Aza?

I'm only saying that WE has a *slight* edge given the actual material available, and I think that's objectively true. Not that I mind, I feel on par with the top ranked WEs so it's not a real concern.

Considering their light armour and high burst dmg, they are so far more suited for sneaking and ganking, certainly more so than other classes.
Medium armour is usually what is required if you want to partake in long duration meleetrain sausage party.
Giving WE/WH medium armour would IMO make them... slightly stronger, which I don't think they need.

There are many other ways of increasing durability of a career in combat without simply buffing their armor. Avoidance, low duration/high cooldown mitigation abilities, combat evasion tools (make a tactic for DA/AE that instantly stealths the career after being used). Those are just examples, I'm sure that the community and the devs can come up with even more creative ways.

Given how everyone keeps claiming small scale PvP in WAR is all about burst, giving the career ways to avoid burst would improve their durability.

What they need are the tools to accomplish what they are designed to do, which is to assassinate their target quickly and reliably. Giving WH/WE medium armor would go against that design choice, but even then I still think they would be inferior to other melee DPS.

I think both classes need minor to moderate redesigns ala melee healers in order to let them function as intended. Things like Torment, which ignores all armor, are designed for the wrong target, IE tanks. If WH/WE want to take out soft targets, they should have a standard armor debuff (useful for light armor targets) rather than a single spammable attack that ignores (useful for heavily armored targets.)

Furthermore, their mastery trees are poorly designed, and lack definition. Confessions shortcomings are well known, but even among the other two trees there is a large amount of waste and inconsistency. Inquisition is supposed to be based around larger damage payout over a period of time, yet the DoT finisher is in Judgement and two of the three specced tactics are garbage. Judgement, on the other hand, is supposedly focused on immediate burst damage while their top tier talent is a DoT and the 11 point tactic is also garbage.

Free ideas for proposals:
- Make hdbf core ability
- Rework 1st tree so both classes could have desent amount of weapon skill with it.

Krima, one of my favourite targets (you are good, but sometimes it's not enough :P)
Well, just to name one reason, the kiss mechanic is really superior to bullets. You can figure why. (Also, I am a big fan of frenzied mayhem and Pierce Armor, but it's just personal preference)

1. Every WE tree is useful, there are 3 viable specs, they are designed for different purpose, but usefull. WH has pretty much only one spec that makes sense, whether he is in a group or solo: 0/9/13. I explained myself 1 page earlier why i think EW is not a good Finisher.

2. As kryss mentioned Kiss>Bullets. Althogh FM is not a good finisher PA is a huge chunk of damage, not just because the skill itself ignores all armor, but also gives you a quite significant amount of armor pierce.

3. Whirling Blades > Flowing Accusation, the standard tool to pump up your mechanic points. WH has a better version in his Inqui Tree, but has to spend a point for it. If he is not RR60 or 50 with a set with +1 point into Inqui or Judgement he has to sacrifice PW, BaL, FC, PtF or SoD. Non of it is a good option.
