Correcting deleted or wrongly bought gear

Since this is an old game it is following some rather unforgiving design principles. Probably not always by intention, but as a sign of the times back when it was released. What I mean by "unforgiving" is that it very easy to make harsh mistakes without any way of undoing the mistakes. For example:
  1. It is very simple to buy the wrong, expensive piece of gear or mistakenly buy it twice.
  2. It is very simple to delete a very expensive piece of gear.
  3. It is very simple to select the wrong influence gear piece and never be able to get the other option again.
Proposal 1: Correcting deleted gear
As a solution to the mistake of deleting gear I would propose that all BIS gear gets a tome unlock and you can reacquire that gear at a special vendor. There is already a precedent for this mechanic with event cloaks that can be repurchased from a special vendor if you have the required tome unlock.

By BIS gear I mean atleast the Triumphant and Victorious rings. But also preferably the rest of the gear in those sets and Sovereign, Warlord, Invader, Fortress, Annulus, Influence gear, etc. As a small first step we could start with the BIS rings (if they remain BIS after the reitemization).

Proposal 2: Correcting incorrectly bought gear
An easy solution is being able to sell back purchased gear for the same amount of crests. Although I can imagine you don't want people to be able to sell back their lower tier gear for crests, because this would mess with the crest gain and progression system. Therefor you should probably be able to sell gear back only within a short grace period. Let's say within 24 hours or so after the purchase.

Another solution is to work without a grace period, but you can sell the gear back at a reduced price. Although in the case of mistakes with the BIS rings, that would still be very harsh.

Proposal 3: Correcting wrongly selected influence gear
If you want to gatekeep gear behind influecelevels, and there is more than 1 gear option per influence level, you need to allow for methods to select the other gear as well. And also for a method to correct deleted influence gear (see proposal 1). Currently 2 solutions have already been implemented in the game:
  1. Reselling the selected gear for a special token that can be used to buy the other pieces of gear. This is done for the Bilerot Burrows and Sigmars crypts dungeon weapons. However, if you accidently delete this gear, then too bad. No option anymore to get the gear. Unless they do a hard reset of the influence, which occasionally happens.
  2. Using the influence level to unlock a repeatable quest which gives you a new currency that allows you to buy the other pieces of the influence. This is done in the Lost Vale dungeon.
Since i think it is best to follow precedents, I have not formulated a third solution, but I think it is best to follow solution 2 for all influence rewards that offer more than 1 piece of gear per level. This allows you to collect all the gear thus offering you flexibility in your gearloadout and fashionhammer experimentation.
