Shaman vs Zealot?

Thinking of playing one or the other, but I'm not sure where the stand after the shaman buffs and where each will be in the glory days of melee healing soon to come.

I think shaman is outhealing zealot now? But zealot has the amazing m1 claw, bubbles, rituals, 25% inc healing for all, and armor proc. Obviously shaman is more offensively stacked and has puddle, but is lifetap just a gimmick still because of the required conditions?

no realy after the nerf of fury of da green, the zealot is safer healer , yes shaman can still dish excellent healing but so does the zealot without ap issues wich hit the shaman rather hard .

in the end it depend the player , i have seen shamans sucking it up and zealots win, in other hand some shamans in good hands ripping apart whole enemy team heals.

aswell in big fights wich involve big numbers of players the zealot works better than shaman , since shaman need to rely on taps and mechanic to power the gather round , while the zealot doesnt have that issue . is common to see people die in rvr cuz shamans get disrupt disrupt disrupt on the taps.

people in ror like alot to say this is better this is bad, and neglect the fact a class is as good as the dude behind it no the archetype himself.

I rerolled from Sham to Zealot for the benefits he can provide to the group. In a coordinate group/WB zealot shines compared to shaman. Shaman on the other hand provides insta rez and melee train baricade (zone snare).
Gameplay wise healing zealot is the easy mode with certain restrict builds while shaman is tricky to maximize his healing potentials. Shaman`s experimental mode makes his class mechanics a bit softer to understand and master. Shaman is best in small scale fights.
Making a point from all the above, if you are planning on premade WBs go zealot, if you plan to be a freelancer with a lot of pugging go shaman.
I hope i helped a bit.

what ap issues? you get a ap drain and have 2 ap potions which are on separate 60s CDs

Don't forget that if (for example) a healing mechanic point is used, it also reduces the AP cost of the next offensive spell.
So yeah, no AP issues for shaman and AM.

Wargrim already said that Shaman and AM are getting nerfed with patcher. So just make a Zealot/RP and hope that the last healer to be nerfed stays where it is because it is pretty damn solid.

I'd say if you really wanna play Shaman just make one but don't put much time into it in case the nerfs make it "DoK-like" because it really isn't a lot of fun playing gimped classes (which is why they all go melee lol)

while am/sham do need a SLIGHT nerf, the issue is that dok/wp are just bad, its them who need major buffs/reworks, not AM/sham that nee major nerfs
