They have one. It is called Blurring Shock.

Well Im all for the dorfs, so dorf meta pleases me. Peter gotta go remake Giggs now though lol. Now buff Grudgeborn Fury and the 2h IB tide will overtake us all :D

I think AoE shining blade mechanic makes sense though. 25% chance to empower allies to deal X amount of spirit damage on their next attack. Synergizes well with Blurring Shock, esp if that spirit damage can crit. No more double resist debuff, but SM gains group buff to spirit damage. SM already has a lot of procs though, but meh. Provides some group benefit as well. And preserves offensive blade enchant. Also preserves Ether Dance burst (imagine synergey with potent enchantments and blurring shock. Ouch).

Isn't that kind of what Blurring Shock does?

They are the exact same ability but with corp/spirit damage respectively.

Please, please forgive me for derailing a bit.

You guys are being completely childish. You have a team that is running this game (we all know out of their own wallets and good graces), and is ACTIVELY ASKING FOR YOUR FEEDBACK AND OPINIONS and you just crybaby.

Picture the alternative, that almost every company (especially all of the major ones) does: They don't ask for feedback. They ignore your complaints, proposals, and whines. And just implement whatever they want anyways, with or without testing or reasoning. Is that what is preferred?

Accept some things are out of your control. Your class, or others, will be tweaked constantly. And respect the people's decision who is the one actually taking the time to make, maintain, and implement changes. They could just all get fed up with all of the whining and pack up and leave. There, now SM (or whichever class is being whined about) remains the same, on a database with no way to access or play it. Goal achieved.

Leave them alone. If you have a proposal, offer it. There are plenty of people here offering proposals, and logically all but one (at best, maybe all) will be rejected - because only one solution can be picked and implemented. If you really don't like the change, don't play the class. There are 24 to choose from. That's 2-3x more than most comparable games. TWENTY. FOUR. And they're even implementing 2+ more. This change will not kill the class. If you think it does, you're playing the class incorrectly anyways.

Sorry, Penril, for derailing. I would offer some additional proposals with this comment to earn some brownie points to keep on topic, but pretty much all of the options I can think of have been stated already.

In case this one hasn't: 25% chance to give self a buff that increases incoming heals by 10% and increases movement speed by 25% for 5 seconds. Both offensive and defensive.

You already get Isha's Protection (heals are 20% more effective on you). Movespeed might be useful, but only if it was for the party -- THAT would make SM very useful against pesky rocks bands.

Yeah, but it fits the trade-off well with SMs being a bit less bulky, and dealing more damage. Rather than increasing their survival or their damage output, increase their effectiveness within their group by relying on other members to assist you. I think Party speed buff would be a bit too strong, and certainly the heal may be too strong if given to the whole party. Unless both were within 30 feet and only for 3 seconds instead of 5. Then party-wide would be pretty fair, I think.

True.. group wide movespeed isn't really anything we have currently in game.

Yes, when haojin mentioned it in a thread a while back I wanted to test it myself. I have screenshots on my home PC I can message you, if you're interested.
