[Magus] End game weapon progression?

I just hit cr40 (currently rr43) on my magus and am starting to gear him up. Can anyone point me towards the progression of staffs that I should use? I’m switching between havoc build for ST and a rift build for RvR.
I just finished the epic t4 questline to get Demonsoul which some people told me is better than subjugator staff? I see a lot of players using subjugator staff and I know that the BiS seems to be the Fortress Changestaff but it will be awhile until I have the RR for that.

Can anyone let me know some staffs that I should be working towards before the Fortress Changestaff? I heard also there is one in BS that is good but I’m not sure what the rr requirement is of it.

I prefer the scenario staff cause of the AP.
