Re: Problems with Scenario queue time as DPS.
Ive also noticed shorter que times shorter on destro relative to order regardless of class or tier but this was there for me before this change was rolled out anyway

Re: Problems with Scenario queue time as DPS.
Based on the times quoted and my own experiences it looks like queueing for one SC at a time makes a bigger difference than queueing as DPS.
I can understand if someone would rather play DPS than support but being fussy about the SC seems self inflicted.

agree, now if the timer would just be increased a bit until a sc starts so pugs can sort out the groups better and buff etc!Jaycub wrote:This is what I am talking about. People dismissing a change because it isn't perfect or doesn't solve all the problems associated with the system it is being implemented in. It's a step forward, hopefully one in many that will help scenarios become better.
It won't magically allow PUG groups to compete with top premades, but they will have a hell of a lot better chance fighting a lot of them. In PUG v PUG scenarios this change is going to even things out a lot.

Re: Problems with Scenario queue time as DPS.
Fun is relative, some tanks need some more mastery and rr points before they can be effective or full deva which takes ages
All healers at this stage can max into their heal specs full if not almost fully
I can try but I don’t have the proper mentality to play anything but mdps and as such I don’t find may other arch type classes fun

If you were the head of the RoR development team, how would you plan to accomplish this?lilsabin wrote:maybe when tanks and heals become more fun to play , people will roll them more
The question is for everyone who say, or feel, that healing or tanking is not something they enjoy nearly as much as DPS, by the way.

Re: Problems with Scenario queue time as DPS.
Proper PvP tanking can be much fun and is imo harder than playing a "tunnel vision" melee DD (thats were most of them fail, they play their tank as DD class...).lilsabin wrote:maybe when tanks and heals become more fun to play , people will roll them more
Healing is unfortunately over 50% of the time watching on the group/warband UI, but better than the healing in any of the newer MMOs...
Healing can be fun though when you spec more defensive and lol at those DDs when you kite them around etc.

Re: Problems with Scenario queue time as DPS.
After a day of of testing here are my personal results. Queued as a tank
1) Group setups are much much better. Always had at least 1 healer, several tanks. Most of them still don't guard but it's a start.
2) Scenarios tend to be less steamrolled by one faction. Obviously premade vs pug being the exception but that should not be the point of the new system anyway.
3) A lot of tanks, not a lot of mdps. Groups were often 3 tanks 1 mdps.
4) Queue times were acceptable, between 3-6 minutes non primetime. I assume it's slightly longer for DPS and considerably faster as healer

As a WH on Order, que times have averaged at 45 minutes to an hour for a single pop.Shadowgurke wrote:After a day of of testing here are my personal results. Queued as a tank

This is during prime time with 600-800 people on.
